Orkidea is Finnish Electronic music artist Tapio Hakanen. He is one of Finland's most well-renowned DJs. He has been one of Scandinavias top DJs for well over 10 years and has been voted twice Scandinavias Best DJ in danish Megamind's voting and elected 5 times as Best DJ in Finnish Club Awards. His track Beautiful in 2005 was a hit in Finland, it also was the soundtrack for Hymypoika.
Orkidea has made remixes for legendary dance labels like Nettwerk (DJ Tiesto: Flight 643), Vandit (Aalto: Rush), Hooj Choons (Space Manoeuvres: Stage One), Lost Language (Tilt's 12), Solaris (Way Out West: Killa) and remixed mainstream artists such as The Doors and Bomfunk MCs. His work has been included on Renaissance, Gatecrasher, State of Trance and Ministry of Sound CD compilations.
