John Digweed (born 1967 in England) is a British DJ and record producer. He began DJing very early, at age 13. His first breakthrough was getting a gig at the club Renaissance in Mansfield after fellow DJ Sasha heard his demo. Speaking about Sasha, John Digweed, along with Sasha ia known as "Sasha and Digweed". They promoted a progressive trance-house sound that became popular in Europe and North America in the late 1990s and early 2000s.
What's interesting about John Digweed is that he is noted for adopting new styles which later become the mainstream compilations mixed by Digweed are often filled with tracks unavailable elsewhere that then go on to be anthems during the next year.
Digweed has a popular radio show on Kiss 100 in United Kingdom since September 2000, where he playes one hour DJ set, followed by 1 hour set from a guest DJ. Since September 2006, John Digweeds show has been available on all 3 Kiss radio stations. The show is now called "Transitions" and has become syndicated and is played in 11 different countries.
Has a really unique style and sound in my opinion, him and dj sasha blew the roof off the the estate a few weeks back!
