"Abbott & Chambers" is the collaboration project of UK artists Matt Abbott and Chris Chambers. Both guys have been around the industry for just shy of a decade starting off as clubbers like most do, then spending many years as DJs and now successfully owning the UK born "Alter Ego" Records brand of labels.
On the DJ front the Abbott & Chambers style ranges from progressive warm up sets right through to the peak time trance that shines through in their productions today. Collectively the duo have amassed a fantastic gig list and have played at many large club brands like Passion, Hotdog, Goodgreef, Live & Loud, Peach and now their current residency at Euphoria in Hull. They have featured twice on Riley & Durrants Nu-Breed radio show on Galaxy Radio and have plans for an Alter Ego Records tour this summer 2007.
DJing is not a new thing for these guys. Chris successfully piloted the Elevated Radio show series right up into its 130th episode which featured world renowned artists like Matt Darey, Lange & Ronski Speed while Matt held his first residency for the legendary Peach club night at the age of just 18 and played alongside DJs like Scott Bond, Guy Ornadel & Matt Hardwick. These guys certainly know which tracks to drop at just the right moments to get a crowd moving and with taking full control of all A&R for the Alter Ego labels they are constantly furnished with fresh productions straight from the studio which make the Abbott & Chambers sets a truely unique experience.
This is also highlighted when Abbott & Chambers present the Alter Ego Trance & Alter Ego Progressive radio shows on DI.FM (the world’s biggest internet dance radio station). Their shows see monthly listening figures in the tens of thousands and a plan to roll the show out to FM stations globally is just around the corner.
In the studio their productions have been hitting record stores worldwide for the last 18 months and have received support from all major players with the likes of Armin Van Buuren, Paul Van Dyk, Above & Beyond & Tiesto all regularly spinning their tracks. Their remixes and productions have been licensed to many compilations including the world famous Gatecrasher, Mellomania & Trancemaster CDs. This along with many international radio stations like Kiss FM, Galaxy and Radio 1 all broadcasting their music to millions of listeners across the globe.
Record labels like Monster Tunes, Somatic Sense, Captured Music & Real Music along with their very own Alter Ego Records & Inov8 Recordings all form part of the Abbott & Chambers discography with many of them releasing brand new tracks way into 2007.
Abbott & Chambers also have their debut compilation "Digital State" planned to hit stores early summer 2007 coupled with a full release tour so keep an eye out as it's going to be a busy year for this talented act.
